PARIS RETAIL WEEK 2024 in exemplary Business Centre mode

The SAGA team will be present at the Retail show from 17 to 19 September in a hybrid version…

This year, PERIMATIC is taking part in the Retail and Connected Commerce show in a slightly different way to previous editions.

We’ll be at the show’s Business Center for 3 days, what does that mean?

It means that we have reserved a meeting space inside the show to present our new products to you, and only our new products individually, in the form of appointments.

You can now make an appointment via your PRW visitor web space. This space is created when you register for your badge. Once you have registered, you can access the Business Meetings to request an appointment at a time that suits you.

This more intimate version will allow us to take the time to present the new SAGA POS and Kiosk solutions, in particular:

Don’t wait any longer to book your appointment, our sales team will be on hand to welcome you.

What is this year’s Retail theme?

This year, AI is at the centre of retailers’ concerns. Artificial intelligence (AI) is playing an increasingly crucial role in the retail business, bringing innovations that are transforming traditional practices and improving efficiency at various levels. A few key points can be made about the importance of AI in the retail sector:

1. Improving the Customer Experience

  • Product Recommendations: Use of algorithms to suggest relevant products based on previous shopping behaviour and individual customer preferences.
  • Targeted Offers: Sending personalised promotions and discounts in real time via mobile applications or email.
  • Chatbots and Virtual Assistants: Provide 24/7 customer support, quickly answering frequently asked questions and helping to resolve minor issues without human intervention.
  • In-store experience: Interactive kiosks and virtual assistants in-store can help customers find products and obtain detailed information.

2. Operations Optimisation

Inventory and Pricing Management

  • Demand Prediction: AI models can analyse trends and forecast future demand, helping to reduce stock-outs and minimise excess inventory.
  • Automatic Replenishment: Automated systems to place replenishment orders based on sales predictions and real-time stock levels.
  • Dynamic Pricing: Real-time price adjustments based on demand, stock levels, competitor pricing and other factors to maximise profit margins.
  • Effective Promotions: Analysis of historical data to determine which promotions are most effective and when to offer them.

3. Marketing and Sales

Customer Segmentation

  • Advanced analytics: Segment customers according to their purchasing behaviour, demographics and preferences, enabling more targeted and effective marketing campaigns.
  • Predictive Marketing Campaigns: Using AI to predict trends and adapt marketing strategies accordingly.

Optimising sales channels

  • Omnichannel: seamless integration of different sales channels (online, mobile, in-store) to deliver a unified and consistent customer experience.
  • Customer Journey Analysis: Detailed understanding of the customer journey to improve touch points and increase conversions.

4. Security and Fraud

Fraud detection and indoor surveillance.

  • Transaction Monitoring: Using AI to detect suspicious transactions in real time and prevent fraud.
  • Behavioural Analysis: Identification of abnormal behaviour that may indicate fraudulent activity.
  • Video Surveillance: Intelligent camera systems capable of detecting suspicious behaviour and preventing theft.

From all these examples, we can see that AI has become a key driving force in retail, delivering significant benefits in terms of operational efficiency, personalisation of the customer experience, stock management, marketing and security. Integrating AI enables retailers to respond more effectively to customer needs, optimise their operations and remain competitive in an ever-changing market.
