SGIB02 Dallas Key Reader
The SGIB-02 identification reader, also known as an “i-Button”, has been specifically designed to be compatible with OVA II touchscreen POS terminals.
It is a magnetic ring that, when in contact with a Dallas key (magnetic ring), enables user identification, login and recognition. This encoded key is a badge generally used in the hospitality industry for cashier identification. Depending on the POS software being used and the features provided by the software publisher, each cashier has their own key to log into the software, validate transactions or access certain information.
The Dallas key reader is mounted on the side of the POS terminal, with an internal connection directly to the motherboard, and secured with two screws to ensure it remains firmly attached to the touchscreen system. This dedicated location for the reader keeps both USB ports on the right side of the POS terminal freely accessible. It is available with USB communication (SGIB-02-USB) or virtual COM communication (SGIB-02-VCOM). It is compatible with both 4:3 and 16:9 OVA POS terminals.
Dallas keys are also available in five different colours, allowing each key to be assigned to a specific cashier.
